Barcelona considering move for Man City target as possible Dembele replacement

Barcelona is set to announce the departure of Ousmane Dembele in the coming week, with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) close to finalising a deal for the 26-year-old. Dembele has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the French champions. Should Dembele leave, Barcelona may seek a replacement right winger, and one of the players on their radar is Jeremy Doku. The 21-year-old, who currently plays for Stade Rennais in Ligue 1, has caught the attention of Xavi Hernandez and his coaching staff at Barcelona.

However, Manchester City is also rumoured to be in the race for Doku’s signature as they look to find a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who recently moved to Saudi Arabia. Despite having Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Lamine Yamal already in their ranks, Barcelona may still consider signing a new right winger. But given the potential competition from Manchester City, it could be challenging for Barcelona to secure Doku’s services, especially if the Premier League champions pursue the deal aggressively.

With limited financial resources and the presence of other capable right-wingers in the squad, a move for Doku might not be a high priority for Barcelona at this stage. Competing with Manchester City’s financial muscle could prove difficult for the Blaugrana, making the pursuit of Doku less practical.Galatasaray hold talks with Manchester United over a potential move for wantaway midfielder Fred after their first bid was rejected

As the transfer saga unfolds, it will be interesting to see how the situation develops and whether Barcelona ultimately decides to pursue a replacement for Dembele or relies on their existing options in the right-wing position. For now, the focus remains on the potential departure of Dembele to PSG and how The team manages its squad ahead of the new season.
